Workshop description

A sustainable workshop to combine a leisurely walk with learning the basics of foraging and practical experience.

Workshop aims

By the end of the workshop members will:

  • have learnt to identify plants and fungi which can be foraged locally.
  • have learnt how to safely forage and avoid poisonous food.
  • have learnt to look differently at plants, recognising them in their natural environment.
  • have learnt about their uses in cooking or in medicine.
  • have thought about how we might use foraged food in other workshops or in finding out if local restaurants might be interested in responsibly foraged fruit or vegetables.

Other information

Wear sensible shoes and bring waterproofs in case of bad weather.
