Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Role Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to manage our Make, Do and Mend volunteer programme. We run a variety of strength-based skills workshops for people who have experience of mental health distress. We aim to promote better mental health by encouraging individual achievement and offering peer support to our members. The Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Chair and manages volunteers and their relationship with those they come into contact with. The role includes recruiting volunteers, ensuring they are appropriately matched and trained for a position; coordinating, monitoring, supporting and  motivating volunteers and their work; promoting and celebrating volunteering both within Make, Do and Mend and through profile-raising events to attract new volunteers.
